June 2026
In May, it was that time again: the surveillance audit for our ISO 9001 certification was due. These types of appointments are always nerve-wracking, since you never know exactly which details an auditor will pick out. But they should never cause high blood pressure—after all, the established standards and processes have long formed the foundation of our daily work.
For Content5, this is also the key reason why we quite enjoy dealing with standards and certifications: Implementing meaningful new standards helps us—especially internally—to continuously improve, for example by scrutinising existing processes and consistently documenting feedback and corrective actions.
- Our quality management system ensures that processes are clearly defined and monitored.
- By aligning ourselves with the principles of the Economy for the Common Good (ECG), we pursue an ethical business culture.
- And TISAX certification also sharpens our internal focus, ensuring that information security and data protection are always taken into account.
It also remains exciting because standards and requirements are constantly evolving. In this regard, there is no status quo that simply needs to be maintained. For example, a revision of the existing ISO standard has been announced for autumn 2026. The new ISO 9001:2026 will, among other things, place greater emphasis on
- the identification of opportunities and risks in the business environment,
- strategic alignment
- and the consideration of sustainability aspects.
We will also incorporate these aspects into our next major ISO audit in mid-2027. Sure—it’s a requirement, but it’s also a great opportunity to shine!
